Soccer Game Preview: Santa Fe vs. Sandia

The Santa Fe Demons will head out to face off against the Sandia Matadors at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Santa Fe is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Santa Fe is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: La Cueva, who was ranked first at the time (Santa Fe was ranked 22nd). The Demons came up short against the Bears on Wednesday, falling 7-1. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Santa Fe were already down 4-1.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Sandia was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eldorado.

Santa Fe's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Sandia, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4-2.

Santa Fe couldn't quite get it done against Sandia when the teams last played on Monday as they fell 4-2. Can the Demons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
