Sugar-Salem came tearing into  Friday's  matchup with seven straight wins  dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.7 points), and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Snake River Panthers for the full four quarters, racking up  a  37-7 win. The  game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Diggers had established  a  23-point advantage.
  Frank Fillmore had a dynamite game, throwing for 209 yards and three  touchdowns on only 16 passes, while also rushing for 48 yards and one  TD. Those  209  passing yards gave  him a new career-high. Sugar-Salem's leading receiver  Ace Clark was  Fillmore's top target yet again, picking up 85 receiving yards and one  score.
