Recap: Roxborough Wolves vs. Parkway Center City Bulldogs
The Roxborough Wolves entered their tilt with the Parkway Center City Bulldogs with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Roxborough enjoyed a cozy 68-52 win over Parkway Center City on Tuesday. Roxborough's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Roxborough was led to victory by Sahir Smith and Josh Jones. Smith scored 17 points, while Jones scored 18 points along with six assists. The game was Jones' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Stefan Phillips , who scored nine points along with 11 rebounds.
Parkway Center City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Israel Mckinley, who scored 17 points. Mckinley scored a full 32.7% of Parkway Center City's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaden McKnight, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Parkway Center City struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Roxborough's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Parkway Center City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roxborough will take on Samuel Fels at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Samuel Fels knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Roxborough likes a good challenge. As for Parkway Center City, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Benjamin Franklin at 3:15 p.m. Benjamin Franklin is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 61.3 points per game.
