Volleyball Recap: Jackson Academy Wins Going Away Against Slidell

Jackson Academy not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since August 21st (when they won 3-0). They blew past the Slidell Tigers 3-0.

Jackson Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Slidell between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-15, 25-18.

Jackson Academy can attribute much of their success to Anna Holladay Craft, who had 15 digs and three aces. That's the most aces Craft has posted over her last six matches.

Slidell's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cheyenne O'Neil, who had 15 digs. Chloe Ray was another key player, getting eight digs and three aces.

Jackson Academy's record is now 19-6-1. As for Slidell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Coming up, Jackson Academy will head out on the road to square off against Pillow Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Slidell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Haynes Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
