Softball Recap: Mendenhall Tigers vs. Morton Panthers
Mendenhall's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Morton Panthers 14-13. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 18, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Mendenhall got a massive performance out of Nala Ducksworth, who went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those five hits gave Ducksworth a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyleigh Williams, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double.
With the victory, Mendenhall broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 13-7-1. As for Morton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-12.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Mendenhall beat the Panthers by a score of 8-3 on Thursday.
