Softball Recap: Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights vs. Western Warriors

Democracy Prep Agassi Campus was the 24-14 winner over Western when they last played one another on April 9th, but their luck changed this time around. The Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights lost 18-7 to the Western Warriors on Thursday.

Shyan Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Rainelle Woods, who scored a run while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

On Western's side, Brisa Pinedo tossed a big game, striking out six batters over five innings while giving up six earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. Pinedo has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
