Volleyball Game Preview: Brawley Wildcats vs. Sweetwater Red Devils

The Brawley Wildcats will challenge the Sweetwater Red Devils at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Brawley has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with 12 straight defeats, while Sweetwater will come in with six straight wins.

Brawley's tournament run continued when they took on Calexico on Saturday. Brawley took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Calexico.

Meanwhile, Sweetwater made easy work of Lincoln on Friday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

Sweetwater's got stronger as the match went on, holding Lincoln to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-20, 25-18.

Sweetwater pushed their record up to 12-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Brawley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.

Brawley couldn't quite get it done against Sweetwater in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can Brawley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
