Football Game Preview: Suring Eagles vs. Algoma Wolves + Official Tickets

Suring is 0-4 against Algoma since September of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will face off against the Wolves at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Suring took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Gibraltar 38-12. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their six-point performance the matchup before.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Algoma). They breezed past Gillett to the tune of 74-12 on Friday. With the Wolves ahead 54-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Suring pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.5 points over those games. As for Algoma, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Suring couldn't quite get it done against Algoma in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 22-14. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
