Basketball Game Preview: Proviso East Pirates vs. Willowbrook Warriors

Proviso East hasn't had much luck against Willowbrook recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Pirates will get right back to it and host the Warriors at 6:30 p.m.

Proviso East is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 26, 2025 on Monday. They were outmatched by Nazareth Academy and fell 73-21. The Pirates were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 51-15.

Meanwhile, Willowbrook beat Glenbard East 55-43 on Saturday.

Willowbrook has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-16 record this season. As for Proviso East, their loss dropped their record down to 15-11.

Proviso East won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in January, slipping by Willowbrook 44-43. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
