Softball Recap: Liberty Wins Going Away Against West Central Co-Op [Winchester-Bluffs]

Liberty never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past the West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] Cougars 15-0. The Eagles have beaten the Cougars the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cougars has come to flipping the script.

Ally Lefringhouse and Andi Mixer did most of the damage at the plate: Lefringhouse went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple, while Mixer went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Mixer has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Anna Dietrich, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Liberty always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs] only posted an OBP of .333.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Liberty wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 5-4 victory against Seymour on the 24th. As for West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs], they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pittsfield at 4:30 p.m. on April 1.
