Football Preview: Davidson Warriors vs. Rain Red Raiders        
        
		
             The Davidson Warriors and the Rain Red Raiders are set to duel  on Friday. Davidson is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
 Last Friday, Davidson came up short against Mary G. Montgomery  and fell  24-14. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings  (they are ranked 132nd, while the Vikings are ranked 22nd).
 Davidson might have lost, but man,  Edward Harrison was a machine:  he rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown on only 15 carries. Those 156  rushing yards gave  Harrison a new career-high.  Terrance Gray was another key player, rushing for 114 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
 Even though they lost, Davidson was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 335  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 169  rushing yards in nine consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Rain fell victim to Vigor and their airtight defense  on Friday. They were  outmatched by the Wolves on the road  and fell  40-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Red Raiders haven't been shut out since  back in September.
 Davidson's record now sits at 2-7. As for Rain, their record is now 3-6.
 Davidson came up short against Rain in their previous matchup  back in September of 2023, falling  48-35. Can Davidson avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
