Basketball Recap: Crossett Takes a Loss

Crossett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Watson Chapel Wildcats and fell 76-15. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Wildcats are ranked 51st).

Crossett's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Watson Chapel, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crossett will host Monticello at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Crossett is facing Monticello at the right time seeing as Monticello is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Watson Chapel, they will welcome Star City at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Watson Chapel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
