Baseball Recap: Culpeper County Now 6-2 over Last Eight Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cape Fear, Culpeper County was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Gray's Creek Bears by a score of 11-7. The high-scoring effort was just what the Blue Devils needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Culpeper County is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for Gray's Creek, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Culpeper County will venture away from home to challenge Caroline at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gray's Creek, they will head out to take on Jack Britt at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
