Softball Game Preview: Spring Woods Tigers vs. Sterling Raiders

The Spring Woods Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Sterling Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Spring Woods has three straight wins, Sterling has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Spring Woods made easy work of Madison and carried off an 18-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won eight games by nine runs or more so far this season.

Spring Woods' win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Maria Garcia, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1. Kylie Leatham was another, scoring a run while going 1-for-1.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Sterling's offense. They came up short against Milby on Friday, falling 16-0. Considering the last time the Raiders couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Spring Woods' victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Sterling, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
