Football Recap: Orlando Christian Prep Takes a Loss

Orlando Christian Prep lost against Bishop Moore back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors took a blow against the Hornets, falling 49-7. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 166th, while the Hornets are ranked 48th).

Nicolas Flores threw for 87 yards and one TD. Zeke Gunn was his top target, picking up 71 receiving yards and one touchdown. On the ground, Paighten Degree rushed for 45 yards.

Amar'E Johnson had a dynamite game For Bishop Moore., rushing for 100 yards and four scores on only 11 carries. Blake McCullough was another key player, throwing for 267 yards and one TD while completing 77.3% of his passes.

Orlando Christian Prep's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bishop Moore, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orlando Christian Prep will challenge Moore Haven at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bishop Moore, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Bartow at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
