While Cajon's victory against Beaumont wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Cowboys skirted past the Cougars 7-5. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Steven Rubio and Jordan Salazar did most of the damage at the plate: Rubio went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one triple, while Salazar went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Salazar has posted since back in February.

Cajon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in four consecutive contests.

Cajon's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Beaumont, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Cajon will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Cougars: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
