West Monona had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 14-run drubbing they dealt Sioux City North on Friday. The Spartans' pitchers stepped up to hand the Stars a 14-0 shutout. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Spartans this season.
