Basketball Game Preview: Galion Tigers vs. Marion Harding Presidents

Galion hasn't had much luck against Marion Harding recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Galion Tigers will face off against the Marion Harding Presidents at 7:15 p.m.

Galion is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were beaten by Mansfield Senior 75-38. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 560th, while the Tygers are ranked 97th).

Meanwhile, Marion Harding came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down the Spartans 47-29.

Galion's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Marion Harding, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-3.

Galion ended up a good deal behind Marion Harding in their previous matchup back in January, losing 63-46. Can Galion avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
