Baseball Game Preview: Line Mountain Eagles vs. Susquenita Blackhawks

For the second straight game, Line Mountain will face off against Susquenita. The Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Blackhawks at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Line Mountain is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Line Mountain couldn't beat Susquenita on Wednesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Eagles came up short against the Blackhawks, falling 17-5.

For Susquenita's part, Chanse Fisher was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Fisher has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with five RBI and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Billy Syster was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob White, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Susquenita's record now sits at 10-4. As for Line Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.
