Basketball Preview: Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans vs. Wagener-Salley War Eagles
The Hunter-Kinard-Tyler Trojans's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Wagener-Salley War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hopefully Hunter-Kinard-Tyler is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the War Eagles in South Carolina (the Trojans are ranked 116th, while the War Eagles are ranked 282nd).
Last Tuesday, Hunter-Kinard-Tyler earned a 46-34 victory over the Saints.
Wagener-Salley can finally bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They walked away with a 46-34 win over Ridge Spring-Monetta. The victory was just what Wagener-Salley needed coming off of a 44-19 defeat in their prior matchup.
Hunter-Kinard-Tyler pushed their record up to 14-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Wagener-Salley, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-15.
Everything came up roses for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler against the War Eagles in their previous matchup back in January as the squad secured a 60-10 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hunter-Kinard-Tyler since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
