Soccer Game Preview: Credo vs. Point Arena

The Credo Gryphon will challenge the Point Arena Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Credo managed to keep up with Calistoga until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Gryphon lost 3-0 to the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Point Arena, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Geyserville a 4-0 shutout on Friday. Considering Point Arena have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Point Arena now has a winning record of 8-7-2. As for Credo, their defeat ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 10-5-2.

Credo beat Point Arena by a goal in their previous matchup back in September, winning 2-1. Do the Gryphon have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Pirates turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
