Soccer Game Preview: Alameda vs. Piedmont

Alameda hasn't had much luck against Piedmont recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Alameda Hornets will be playing at home against the Piedmont Highlanders at 6:30 p.m.

Alameda is headed into the game having not lost since January 11 and will look to keep things rolling. They and Castro Valley finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw on Friday.

Meanwhile, Piedmont was able to grind out a solid win over Hayward on Thursday, taking the game 3-1.

Piedmont hit Hayward with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jacques Saldanha, Harper Mand, and Jimmy Lagos.

Piedmont's victory bumped their record up to 4-7-4. With that draw, Alameda's record moves to 12-3-4.

Alameda came up short against Piedmont when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 3-1. Can Alameda avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
