Baseball Game Preview: Skyridge Falcons vs. Lone Peak Knights

For the second straight game, Skyridge will face off against Lone Peak. The Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Skyridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Skyridge turned things around against Lone Peak on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Knights by a score of 4-1.

For Lone Peak's part, Grady Slesk spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on nine hits. Slesk also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Knights are 3-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-7 otherwise.

At the plate, Dallin Scharmann made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Skyridge's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 8-6. As for Lone Peak, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-8.
