Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boonville). They put the hurt on the Pike Central Chargers with a sharp 65-39 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Pioneers have posted since December 8, 2023.

Pike Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Nate Davis, who went 7 for 10 on his way to 23 points, and Jiles Mason, who posted five points and 12 boards. That was a full 59% of Pike Central's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's had more than a third of the team's points.

The win made it two in a row for Boonville and bumps their season record up to 3-3. As for Pike Central, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Boonville will host Evansville Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pike Central will take on Eastern Greene in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pike Central is facing Eastern Greene at the right time seeing as Eastern Greene is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
