Football Recap: South Plainfield Comes Up Short + How To Watch

South Plainfield extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 2-4. They took a 7-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bernards Mountaineers. The Tigers lost against the Mountaineers in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 28-0 score last time.

As for Bernards, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 28.5 points this season.

Logan Stevens produced another solid performance rushing for 101 yards, while also picking up 30 receiving yards. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, forcing one fumble and making four total tackles (1.0 for loss).

South Plainfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-8 win against New Brunswick on the 10th. Bernards has also already played their next matchup (against Summit), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
