Volleyball Recap: Marion Starts Season with Victory Against Wynne

Marion took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They blew past the Wynne Yellowjackets 3-0. The Patriots have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Yellowjackets, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Marion was: they took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-14, 25-15.

Marion was led to victory by ABBIGALE SIMMONS and KENNEDY BULLINS. SIMMONS had 15 digs, while BULLINS hit 68.8% for 11 kills and six digs, four aces, and two blocks. SIMMONS is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last 11 games she's played dating back to last season.

Marion wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Collierville on the 26th. Wynne has also already played their next contest (against Greene County Tech), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
