Recap: Glenn Eagles vs. Artesia Pioneers
The Glenn Eagles lost against the Artesia Pioneers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Glenn had to suffer through a rough 85-14 loss at the hands of Artesia. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Glenn has scored all season.
It was another big night for Zion Staples, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds for Artesia. The contest was Staples' 13th in a row with at least ten points. Cj Okeke was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Glenn has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season. As for Artesia, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenn will take on Whitney at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Artesia is on the road again on Friday and play against Cerritos at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Cerritos is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
