Basketball Recap: Lueders-Avoca's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Lueders-Avoca had to endure a 14-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They took down the Moran Bulldogs 30-13 on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Bulldogs last Thursday, they had to take a 31-30 defeat.

When it comes to explaining why Moran lost, don't look at Cotton Campbell. Despite the final result, he posted 11 points.

Lueders-Avoca's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Moran, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lueders-Avoca will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Rule at 2:30 p.m. on December 31st. As for Moran, they will be home for the holidays to greet Panther Creek at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
