Basketball Recap: Red Bird Takes a Loss

Red Bird was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Middlesboro Yellowjackets, falling 68-39. The Cardinals lost against the Yellowjackets in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 89-29 score last time.

Red Bird's record is now 0-14. As for Middlesboro, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Red Bird will be playing in front of their home fans against Owsley County at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th. As for Middlesboro, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Clay County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
