Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Rapid City Christian's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

There's no place like home for Rapid City Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Hill City Rangers on Thursday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 28-26, 25-16, 29-27.

Rapid City Christian has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Hill City, their loss ended a four-match streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.

Rapid City Christian and Hill City should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings. The Comets will square off against Chadron at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (33 vs. 100). Meanwhile, Hill City (ranked 37th) will meet Mahpiya Luta (ranked 135th) at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
