Football Recap: Sheffield Bulldogs vs. Clements Colts
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lauderdale County, Sheffield was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Clements Colts, posting a 45-16 victory on the road. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by 20 points or more this season.
Although Clements took the loss, they still got scores from Reid Putman and Brady Turner.
The win got Sheffield back to even at 4-4. As for Clements, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.
Sheffield will welcome Colbert County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colbert County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Sheffield likes a good challenge. As for Clements, they will head out to challenge Mars Hill Bible at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mars Hill Bible will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Clements surely won't give up without a fight.
