Softball Recap: Millington Central Comes Up Short

Millington Central managed to slip by Arlington the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Trojans lost 14-8 to the Tigers on Friday. The Trojans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 15-14.

Hayley Stevens made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Fowler, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Millington Central now has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Arlington, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-9-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Millington Central will face off against Munford at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Arlington, they will challenge Dyer County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
