Volleyball Recap: Cocke County Takes a Loss

Cocke County's tournament run continued when they took on Greeneville on Saturday. The Fighting Cocks took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greene Devils. The Fighting Cocks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Kate Kickliter paced Cocke County's offense, picking up five kills. Kickliter also shared the team's lead in assists with Kaylyn Proffitt: they picked up three each. Kickliter also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Hailee Hartsell, each putting up two.

Cocke County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-20. As for Greeneville, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-14.

Cocke County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Ridgeview on the 27th. As for Greeneville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Rhea County on the 27th.
