Game recap: Gold Beach High School Football Team bests Myrtle Point

MYRTLE POINT, Ore. - Michael Romsa ran for two touchdowns and Colton Pearson added two as well as Gold Beach (Ore.) beat Myrtle Point (Ore.) 46-0 on Saturday.

After taking the lead on a Pearson touchdown run in the first quarter, the Panthers led 26-0 at the half.

Gold Beach expanded its lead to 40 points entering the fourth quarter. GB scored three times in the third, including once on a Romsa touchdown run.

The Panthers came in allowing an average of 19.9 points per game this season.

When the two teams played each other last season, Gold Beach came away with a 70-13 victory.



With the win GB extended its winning streak to three games.

Myrtle Point (1-6) goes up against Reedsport in a 2A Special District 1 game matchup next week, while Gold Beach (5-3) locks horns with Coquille also in a 2A Special District 1 game.
