Ridgefield has gone 9-1 against Trumbull recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Ridgefield Tigers will take on the Trumbull Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Ridgefield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Ridgefield faced off against Greenwich on Friday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, Ridgefield made off with a 52-51 win over Greenwich. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Cardinals are ranked 99th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Trumbull escaped with a win on Friday against Staples by the margin of a single free throw, 46-45. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wreckers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Trumbull's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.2 points over those games. As for Ridgefield, their record is now 10-3.

Ridgefield was able to grind out a solid victory over Trumbull in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 74-66. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ridgefield since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
