Football Recap: Marathon Comes Up Short

Marathon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Moore Haven Terriers, falling 26-0.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Moore Haven to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kevin Bryant, who rushed for 31 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 30 receiving yards and one score. Another passer making a difference was Tykeem Paseler, who threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes.

Marathon's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Moore Haven, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.

Marathon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 34-8 defeat against Coral Shores on the 3rd. As for Moore Haven, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-6 loss against Fort Meade on the 3rd.
