Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southeast Lauderdale). They were the clear victors by a 56-31 margin over the Nanih Waiya Warriors on Tuesday. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 64-39 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Nanih Waiya had strong showings from Jasmine Hickman, who posted 11 points, and Emma Cotton, who had eight points. That was a full 35.5% of the Warriors' points, marking the fifth time in a row Hickman has put up more than a third of the team's points.

Southeast Lauderdale's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Nanih Waiya, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Southeast Lauderdale will welcome Newton County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Nanih Waiya, they will head out to square off against French Camp Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
