Basketball Recap: Hazlehurst Takes a Loss

Hazlehurst lost against Jim Hill back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Hazlehurst Indians had to suffer through a 70-41 loss at the hands of the Jim Hill Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Tigers are ranked 67th).

Hazlehurst has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Jim Hill, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hazlehurst will be home for the holidays to greet Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Jim Hill, they will host Raymond at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
