Mount Calm hadn't done well against Penelope recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Mount Calm blew past Penelope 50-0. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for Mount Calm this season.

It was another big night for Trey Walker, who rushed for 203 yards and three TDs on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Colton Peterson was in the mix too, providing Mount Calm with two touchdowns.

Mount Calm's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for Penelope, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Mount Calm will take on Coolidge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mount Calm will need to watch out since the Yellowjackets have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Penelope, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Gholson at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
