Basketball Recap: Horseshoe Bend Falls to Wilder in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Horseshoe Bend unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 54-23 loss at the hands of the Wilder Wildcats on Tuesday. The Mustangs have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Horseshoe Bend lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ember Moroney, who posted eight points in addition to 14 rebounds and four steals. Kimber Jones was another key player, putting up six points along with six boards and four steals.

The win got Wilder back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Horseshoe Bend will square off against Rimrock at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wilder, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Glenns Ferry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
