Football Game Preview: Callisburg Wildcats vs. Trinity Leadership Tigers

The Callisburg Wildcats will take on the Trinity Leadership Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Callisburg will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Callisburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 42-8 victory over S & S Consolidated. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Trinity Leadership won against Scurry-Rosser two weeks ago with 44 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Tigers took their game with ease, bagging a 44-6 victory over Inspired Vision. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by 30 points or more this season.

Trinity Leadership had a senior duo take command as Alvin Sims rushed for 237 yards while picking up 11.3 yards per carry and Londen Cook threw for 171 yards and one touchdown on only 15 passes. Those 237 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Sims.

Trinity Leadership was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 276 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in seven consecutive matchups.

The win got Callisburg back to even at 5-5. As for Trinity Leadership, their record is now 8-2.
