Basketball Game Preview: Trinity Christian Crusaders vs. Piedmont Academy Cougars

The Trinity Christian Crusaders and the Piedmont Academy Cougars will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Trinity Christian is coming into the game hot, having won their last seven games.

On Friday, Trinity Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Loganville Christian Academy, taking the game 52-41.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Piedmont Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 51-44 to Central Fellowship Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Lancers are ranked 20th).

Trinity Christian pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.5 points per game. As for Piedmont Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.

Trinity Christian came up short against Piedmont Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 46-40. Can Trinity Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
