Basketball Game Preview: Faith Christian Eagles vs. South Newton Rebels

Having just played yesterday, the Faith Christian Eagles will get right back to it and host the South Newton Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. South Newton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Faith Christian, who comes in off a win.

Faith Christian took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They skirted past West Central 45-43.

Meanwhile, South Newton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 27th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against River Forest, falling 50-30. The Rebels were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-9.

Faith Christian's win bumped their record up to 8-11. As for South Newton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-17.

Everything came up roses for Faith Christian against South Newton in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-24 victory. In that game, Faith Christian amassed a halftime lead of 42-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Tuesday.
