Volleyball Recap: Wayland Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wayland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the South Christian Sailors. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Wildcats have suffered since August 27th.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-14, 25-13.

Leading South Christian to victory were Kendall Kwantes and Meg Schreur. Kwantes had 13 assists and five digs, while Schreur had eight digs and three assists. Nicole VanGrouw also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Wayland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for South Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Wayland will be taking part in a tournament against Catholic Central at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Christian, they will challenge Wyoming at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
