Basketball Game Preview: Vienna Eagles vs. Christopher Bearcats

The Vienna Eagles will head out to face off against the Christopher Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Vienna has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Vienna is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Goreville: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Eagles blew the Blackcats out of the water with a 67-37 final score. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 23 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Christopher posted their closest victory since January 18th on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Webber 51-48. While the Bearcats didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Vienna's record is now 9-2. As for Christopher, their record now sits at 7-5.

Everything came up roses for Vienna against Christopher when the teams last played back in February, as the squad secured a 68-25 victory. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bearcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
