Centennial has gone 7-1 against Kellis recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Coyotes will face off against the Cougars at 4:30 p.m.

Centennial is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: ALA - Queen Creek, who was ranked eighth at the time (Centennial was ranked 16th). The Coyotes came up short against the Patriots on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The Coyotes' loss signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: ALA - Queen Creek scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-19, 25-18.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kellis, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past Canyon View 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Kellis' win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-10. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 11-5.

Everything went Centennial's way against Kellis in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Centennial made off with a 3-0 victory. Will the Coyotes repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
