Basketball Recap: Stoney Creek Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Stoney Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 51-34 win over the Carman-Ainsworth Cavaliers on Thursday. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Cavaliers are ranked 308th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stoney Creek's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Carman-Ainsworth, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season.

As of now, neither Stoney Creek nor Carman-Ainsworth have any future games scheduled.
