Baseball Recap: Vista Grande Comes Up Short

If Vista Grande was riding high fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Mountain View on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Spartans fell 7-2 to the Sunnyside Blue Devils on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 7-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2015.

Vista Grande saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adrian Davis, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Vista Grande has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-13-1 record this season. As for Sunnyside, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-8.

As of now, neither Vista Grande nor the Blue Devils have any future games scheduled.
