Basketball Recap: Springs Valley Comes Up Short

Springs Valley suffered their biggest loss since February 22nd on Friday. They took a blow against the Riverside Argonauts, falling 67-40. The Blackhawks just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Riverside's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Bini Hopper led the charge by going 9 of 18 en route to 21 points and three steals. Hopper's morning made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Torgrimson, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Springs Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Riverside, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.

Springs Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 53-51 win against Henryville on the 27th. As for Riverside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-46 victory against Brown County on the 27th.
