After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lakeland, Susquehanna was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Mid Valley Spartans as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Sabers as it put an end to their four-match losing streak.

Susquehanna not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mid Valley between 15 and 18 points across their sets. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-18, 25-15.

Lauren Huyck paced Susquehanna's offense, picking up eight kills. Huyck really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 23. Leah Roe controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Mid Valley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Arianna Vitaletti had nine digs and three aces. Krista Demboski was another key player, getting six blocks and one assist.

Susquehanna's win bumped their record up to 6-9. As for Mid Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Susquehanna wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Scranton on the 6th. As for Mid Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against West Scranton on the 7th.
